Covid-19 and football club insolvency

I gave a talk today for the new ROSES online seminar series organized by James Reade at the University of Reading – it’s a great initiative from James and lots of interesting talks coming up in the series.

Here’s a link to my talk on Youtube and here are my slides: Insolvency and Covid -19.

The presentation sets the current crisis in the context of the financial stability of clubs in the past and builds on published research on insolvency in England, France (with Nicolas Scelles) and Germany (with Daniel Weimar). You can see the papers here.
