Tomorrow I will be participating in a round table debate on Financial Fair Play with some interesting and important economics professors:
Egon Franck – he sits on the UEFA Club Financial Control Body which administer the rules of FFP
Ignacio Palacios-Huerta – adviser to Athletic Bilbao who has written some of the best analysis on football (see his forthcoming book)
Paul Madden – organizer of the event and one of the best theorists working on the economic analysis of sports
Rob Simmons – doyen of sports econometrics
And the session is being chaired by Charlie Bean, Deputy Governor of the Bank of England.
